Drive-In Racking System for Cold Storage — Philippines

This drive-in racking project was completed for a cold storage warehouse in the Philippines to support local frozen food and cold-chain logistics operations. The client needed a high-density storage solution to solve limited freezer space and high refrigeration costs, as they mainly store large volumes of homogeneous frozen goods.

Adopting the LIFO storage principle, this heavy-duty drive-in rack allows forklifts to drive directly into rack lanes for pallet loading and unloading. It removes unnecessary aisles between rack rows and dramatically improves cold room space utilization versus standard selective racking. All steel members feature special low-temperature and anti-corrosion treatment to prevent steel brittleness and rust under persistent sub-zero working conditions.

The structural design complies with Philippine local industrial standards, taking regional typhoon and seismic risks into consideration. Reinforced uprights, support rails and bracing guarantee stable performance in long-term cold storage operation.

This solution helps the client hold more pallets within the existing cold room area and reduces cold air leakage, effectively cutting refrigeration energy expenditure. It is ideal for bulk frozen seafood, meat and frozen agricultural products. Our service covers layout design, manufacturing, shipment and on-site installation guidance to ensure smooth project handover.
