This heavy duty rack with wood decking project is built for a tea warehouse in Sri Lanka, specially designed for storing packed tea products and raw tea leaves. The client required a robust storage solution with easy access for frequent stock rotation and order picking for their tea export business.

The racking system is equipped with solid wood decking laid on heavy-duty steel beams. It provides flat, continuous shelf surfaces to hold tea cartons, packaged tea boxes and small batches of raw tea leaves without pallets. Every level allows direct product access, making stock sorting and picking highly convenient. All steel components adopt durable powder coating, adapted to Sri Lanka’s humid tropical climate to resist moisture and rust, protecting tea products from damp damage.

The structural design complies with local building standards, taking regional seismic and wind-load conditions into consideration. Reinforced uprights and heavy beams deliver reliable load capacity for stacked tea packages.
